Wheel SceneThe Rise And Fall Of Remz
from Wheel Scene on 12 Jun 2022

Established in 1997 with the release of their first prototype, Remz introduced the first boot only skate and it looked unlike anything else on the market at the time. Since then the brand has grown and become home to some of the best skaters in the world, including Chris Haffey, Franky Morales, Nils Jansons, Josiah Blee and many others. But during the course of the last decade the majority of its biggest riders have left and the brand has become less and less active. In this video I chronicle the rise of Kato Mateu’s unique skate design, the peak of their popularity with a team crammed with talent, and the gradual decline over the past decade.ReferencesHoax 3 – Broken English: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQsk7PT-l5gA Brief History of OUT: https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10224409792023281&set=pcb.3543071162443114United Front – Chris Haffey: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_NSpl8qUT0Wax Toaster – Josiah Blee: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1ENXDa1YBA&t=1712sPlatform – Jacob Juul: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xary78i-sik&t=3514sThen and Now Podcast – Damien Wilson: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzSHFv9Yqhs&t=1789sMassive thank you my Patreon supporters:Reto BurginJumpstreet PodcastRene DillonChristopher ArcherNeil OwenSamuel BrownleeJosh AllenSayagata RollingStephen JohnstoneIf you would like to join our Patreon and be entered into a monthly prize draw for Wheel Scene merchandise, visit my page here – https://www.patreon.com/wheelsceneVisit our our online shop – https://wheelscene.bigcartel.comFollow Wheel Scene on Facebook – https://www.facebook.com/wheelsceneblading
