I decided to spend some more time in my THEM 909 Pat Ridder Pros to break in the wonderful THEM Intuition Liners. I am finding that the new wide soul plate seams to slide a lot faster than the regular v2 soul plate. I’m not sure if it is in my head, the added surface area or if the ledges slide better in the winter. I asked Pat Ridder if they were made out of different material and he said he’s pretty sure its the same stuff. In my 3rd session I didn’t even wax the ledges I just waxed the skates and I was sliding super good. And it was over 50 degrees out so it wasn’t that cold. I don’t know.
