Some of the biggest and best tricks in rollerblading have come from the World Rolling Series a.k.a. WRS Uploaded. It was the most exciting time in the rollerblading calendar. It would feature the best rollerbladers of the year like, Brian Aragon, Chris Haffey, Alex Broskow, David Sizemore, Nils Janson, Erik Bailey and Julien Cudot. Each skater would put together a one minuted long section that the community and a panel of experts would judge.It had such a huge impact on rollerblading culture Ive decided to create The Community Cup Invitation with Bedroom Skate Shop https://bedroomskate.com/ and capture that same energy. Excitingly it’s driven by the Inline skating community. All the finalist you nominated for skater of the year, section of the year and best tricks of the year have been invited! They have proven themselves to be the best and ideal skaters for an edit comp.Thank you to those who have donated so far: https://gofund.me/e8f8148fIm trying to raise at least 5K as a prize fund with 50% of that being split equally between rollerbladers as a base rate for taking part. The rest goes into prizes for the community winner, that’s first, second and third, and also the industry expert judges winner. Final submissions are 6th of July 2025The WRS Uploaded asked skaters to create an edit that could be street skating, park skating or anything they liked. Their only requirement was that it couldn’t already be on YouTube in it’s full format. In the WRS 2011 there was a little controversy as Nils Jansons used clips from skating edits he done earlier in the year and some competition footage. This wasn’t against the rules as he just used single tricks and he was within his right to do so – but a few people were annoyed about it.The world rolling series used a knock out system were two skaters edits would battle it out for 72 hours and the most votes would go through to the next round.
