Nils Jansons won two of the biggest competitions in America and dropped an incredible pro skate promo, Julien Cudot won the World Skate Games, released two street parts and an insane park VOD, and Dominic Bruce delivered strong appearances in several videos, and unleashed an impressive pro skate promo, but the people’s champion of 2022, in my humble opinion, was Yandriel Silverio and I outline why in chronological order…because I am a massive geek.He started the year with a brilliant promo for his debut pro wheel from Chroma, the next month he called out Razors for underhand business tactics and rallied the blading community behind him, the following month he put in a strong performance in the 50/50 video Research Triangle, then he dropped a split section with fellow Balance Distribution rider Matty Lyon. He ended the year with a pro frame from 50/50, got ANOTHER pro wheel from Chroma and the accompanying promo was even better than the previous one at the start of the year. In this video I take a look at some of the highlights from his incredible year and look to the future. In 2023, Yandriel is getting a new boot sponsor and he will be attending Winterclash for the first time.
