Skates for Uganda Donation Project Update – You Guys Did it!

Here’s the link for ANY size donation https://gofund.me/f36985a44So many skates were donated on 16th-17th May that our allocated budget for transport costs over doubled! The skates are on their way but the final payment is due on delivery.This project has far outgrown the expectations I had. I anticipated 1-2 car loads of skates, not a whole removal van! Even with the cheaper deal we have through an Ugandan contact in London, the amount of equipment donated was over 2x our estimated weight total. But too much generosity can’t be the end of the project.Thank you to everyone who donated! It was heart warming to hear of your stories and memories with your skates and your joy at knowing they were going somewhere they would be loved and used.I will report back regularly on the state of the GoFundMe but more importantly we’ll have videos soon of your skates arriving in Uganda and being used.
