Pari Roller is an organisation independent from any commercial or political structures. Its objectives are to promote roller skating as a leisure activity, as a sport or as a means of transportation and to organise every Friday night skating tours in Paris. These events are safe and a lot of fun. Earlier this year, we were kindly invited to attend one of these events and allowed to film for La Joie de Vivre. MERCI, Samuel Moreau and Team, it has been a pleasure.

I started to skate quite late; I think I was 16 years old. There was a big strike that paralysed Paris and I my then boyfriend used to skate. He and his friend taught me the basics and made me my first home-made rollers, with all of their old stuff and bits. These skates are kind of a relic now, but I still have them and I still skate outside with them.
