Riverside Museum (Glasgow) – The Museum That Welcomes Skaters
from Wheel Scene on 3 Oct 2025
The Riverside Museum in Glasgow not only tolerates skaters using the grounds, it has actually provided an extensive facility at the back of the building, overlooking the River Clyde, for them to enjoy in a clean, safe environment. The plaza-style skatepark has a range of features including curbs, ledges, kicker ramps and flat banks – all located at one of Glasgow’s biggest tourist attractions. I went along for a few hours to test out all of the obstacles and see what the park has to offer. To see more videos like this that are not available on YouTube, join the Wheel Scene Patreon:https://www.patreon.com/c/wheelsceneCamera used in this video: https://www.insta360.com/sal/x5?utm_term=INRCINO
Kingston DIY (Glasgow) – The Skatepark Hidden Under a Motorway
from Wheel Scene on 27 Sep 2025
Kingston DIY skatepark is a brilliant DIY skate facility which is located in the southside of Glasgow, but is close enough to the River Clyde that it is easily accessible from the city centre and offers skaters, skateboarders, scooter riders and BMX riders a much needed undercover spot when the weather in Scotland decides to be…well…Scottish…and wet. The plaza-style skatepark offers a bunch of street features, including banks, curbs, ledges, rails and more skatepark-oriented features like quarter pipes, spines and a wooden mini ramp. Arches DIY in Glasgow – More Than Just A Skatepark
from Wheel Scene on 21 Sep 2025
Arches DIY skatepark in Glasgow started in 2018 and it has only got bigger, better and more interesting with each passing year. Not just a skatepark, this DIY project hosts events from skate jams, scooter jams, all day music festivals, self defence classes and much more. It’s also become a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community in Glasgow, who recently completed a project there. Glasgow has a strong history when it comes to action sports of all kinds and Arches DIY is a great example of hard work that goes into maintaining that culture and the strong community that backs it by regularly funding new ramp builds.
