BUTTERTV PRESENTS: The First Annual Metrocard Classic

With just two weeks away, September 5th-7th, NYC will be at it again for the 2025 Metrocard Classic. We hope to see you there! New York City – Summer of 2023 ended with a huge bang featuring a multitude of skate events. From a rail jam session to celebrating the reopening at the famous Brooklyn Banks 9 stair, to the eighth annual Boschi Pope Skate Off, and ending with the infamous New York Skate Invitational. Tons of great skating took place and the energy was insane. The long weekend also featured a historic New York City art exhibition where people could get a glimpse of the culture over the past 30 years through photos with live music and plenty of drinks to go around. Let me get a yerrrrrrrrrrrrr Jay MercadoJuly 26th, 2025. Brooklyn, New York – Now in its fourth summer, the Brooklyn Blade Comp is running stronger than ever here in New York as it returned to Ocean Hill Skate Park. The vibes are what you would expect from a comp in NYC, crowded, energetic, and unpredictable. If theres one word to put it all together it would be: LOUD and being a native New Yorker myself, I find peace in that. I did get to the competition late so unfortunately I missed a few heats and most of the ladies competition but hopefully I can provide you with a glimpse and well definitely be looking forward to seeing more people at the next one. Everyone skated so hard, we appreciate everyone showing up, hard work pays off. Lydell LockettJuly 12th, 2025. Washington DC – On a lovely hot summer day, this contest was pulling us together to bring fun vibes to the streets in the nations capital. A lot of tourists who were passing by on foot to see the famous landmarks took a moment to watch the decent amount of skaters cheering eachother on as they skated in their heats. BUTTERTV PRESENTS: Idronations 2024 – Pizza Pasta & P-Rails

“What you experienced today was a prime example of what this passion can give. and that is why I say: let us remain who we are, let us remain unique, let us remain bladers. Json AdrianiOctober 5th-6th 2024. Milan, Italy – During one of the heaviest rainfalls in recent Milan histroy, Json Adriani & co. managed to pull off a full weekend event at Idroscalo skatepark filled with multiple DIY spots. The community came together to skate, compete, and cheer each other on as well as using one of the days to create a learning environment to share an experience together within the older and newer generations. It all started with the children putting their best efforts to create their own individual runs while everyone cheered. The ladies were up next with a format that remained for the rest of the comp: there would only be one winner for each obstacle. The pros ended the day and we all celebrated at a local bar where the winners were announced as well as the video premiere of Connect from Inferno Skate. The second day was filled with different workshops where pros were working on specific things with anyone who wanted to learn. Overall it was an amazing experience to watch everyone come together and enjoy the one thing we all love to do.
