1999 and Im just getting introduced to The Curse rail. Its a perfect 14 stair rail located at The University of Utah. Real Ride Skatepark was built in 1998 and I had just turned 16 and was driving 30 minutes to be up north. I was just really starting to learn to skate handrails, and this was the perfect rail to have. The campus is a on the base of the Wasatch Mountain in Salt Lake City, Utah. The prime location for a ton of skate spots! The story of The Curse was that there was a skater in the early 90s skating the rail and they hit the tree and died! Later told to me that it was another rail in the area but it was a death of a skater that got this rail its name. If anyone knows the real story I would love to hear it!!
