1992 I’m 10 years old and my parents took me to the closest ice rink to our house to try out ice skating. I immediately fell in love with the feeling of floating around on the ice. I soon started playing ice hockey after my dad said no to me playing in the football league. He had torn his knee playing backyard football and was also Canadian so he asked if I wanted to play hockey. I said “heck yeah!” because in my eyes you get to dress up in all the gear and also wear skates.
