The First Annual Metrocard Classic 2023

August 24th-27th 2023. New York City – Summer of 2023 ended with a huge bang featuring a multitude of skate events. From a rail jam session to celebrating the reopening at the famous Brooklyn Banks 9 stair, to the eighth annual Boschi Pope Skate Off, and ending with the infamous New York Skate Invitational. Tons of great skating took place and the energy was insane. The long weekend also featured a historic New York City art exhibition where people could get a glimpse of the culture over the past 30 years through photos with live music and plenty of drinks to go around.

Brooklyn Blade Comp 2025 – No Sleep Till

“Let me get a yerrrrrrrrrrrrr” —Jay Mercado
July 26th, 2025. Brooklyn, New York – Now in its fourth summer, the Brooklyn Blade Comp is running stronger than ever here in New York as it returned to Ocean Hill Skate Park. The vibes are what you would expect from a comp in NYC, crowded, energetic, and unpredictable. If there’s one word to put it all together it would be: “LOUD” and being a native New Yorker myself, I find peace in that. I did get to the competition late so unfortunately I missed a few heats and most of the ladies competition but hopefully I can provide you with a glimpse and we’ll definitely be looking forward to seeing more people at the next one.
