Remy CadierGoPro 60° Lens Test & first shots Came-TV 7800 Gimbal
from Remy Cadier on 13 Jan 2015

The original lens of my GoPro Hero 4 Black suffered a fatal injury at the hands of my DJI Phantom 2.
I needed a new lens, and since GoPro does not provide any lenses for replacement I decided to go
for a lens which would suit aerial videograpy better. I found this 5,4mm 10MP Megapixel Minilens and
with the aid of some tutorial video’s i managed to replace my busted lens. In the video I cycle through the
menu trying different settings, such as the iso value, framerate and I also tried the long shutter timelapse
function, as well as the 3fps burst mode, in the driving section.
Second part of the video consists of the first shots I made with my new Came-TV 7800 3 axis gimbal.
I used my Sony A7S camera, with Metabones adaptor, and a 14mm. 2.8 Tamron wideangle lens.

I must say that I am very happy with the GoPro modification, finally rid of that fisheye distortion.
I can’t wait to get the Phantom back and see how it does. No more curved horizons, thats for sure.
In the second part of the video I use my gimbal for the first time. The 3 axis gimbal is just amazing. I have no experience with gimbals aside from the few that I have wrecked flying quads, but you get the hang of it very quickly.
Using them in combination with my rollerblades makes use even easier. Now to wait for some decent weather to really put these new toys to work.

First part filmed in the Red Light District and Nieuwmarkt area.
Second part filmed in Nieuwendam, North Amsterdam.
