Razors Skate Co. is a legacy inline skating brand. At Winterclash 2025, the biggest event in rollerblading, Razors owner Andy Wegener made a racist story post, via their official account, directed at a Cougar Skates representative causing huge backlash thats seen numerous team riders quit.The issue actually started at Winterclash in 2024 when Andy allegedly threatened event organiser Jojo Jacobi and its spiralled to this point.There is a lot to this story that has yet to be discussed and just makes what happened even more mindless.In this video we will discuss how Razors created such a great legacy. Well be briefly covering all fallouts that have happened over the years. We will break down the events from the year before that brought us to this point. Well go over what happened this year and all the backlash. Well break down the racist post, dive into the other points that dont seem to add up and also take a deeper look at the apology.To be very clear, we have to consider that there are nuances to all these stories and without actually being there we dont know what the truth is – so these stories are alleged.No-one want Razors Skates to go. People can change, we just want to see that happen and the appropriate actions be taken. Maybe that comes in the shape of a more direct apology and promise to do better.
