Dave Hartnett – Subtle Beast (BUTTER TV)

BUTTER TVDave Hartnett – Subtle Beast
from BUTTER TV on 4 Feb 2021

Filmed in New York and New England areas. Rhode Island has always had a pool of talent coming from there and Dave Hartnett is one of those names on that list. The filming of this project began in late July of 2016 and was finished around a year later, but we didnt know that we were finished yet. I would meet Dave once every few months for a day or two and we would film whatever we can with no real schedule or planning. We would always talk about meeting up a few more times before I sat down to edit but scheduling and timing was never on our side and quickly the months apart would turn into years. A few days ago I went through the footage and realized, theres definitely something really good here and rather than letting the footage age any longer, I decided to finally put it all together. If youve had the chance to meet Dave, then you know that hes a man of very few words and he keeps things fairly simple but his skating speaks the oppositehence the subtle beast. Hes always been one to keep your eyes on during street competitions as he won a good amount here on the east coast or at the very least placed in the top three. Its been nothing but good times working together on this piece and hopefully in the future we can make the time to get a few sessions in to keep him included with upcoming projects because his skating and consistency to land tricks is very fun to watch . Tim Franken – 11:59 (BUTTER TV)

BUTTER TVTim Franken – 11:59
from BUTTER TV on 22 Dec 2020

Filmed entirely in New Jersey towards the end of summer and into late fall of 2020 Ive managed to run into Tim Franken at a Ghetto Community pop-up shop in Manhattans Lower East Side. From there we threw around the idea of linking up and getting a few clips together which turned into meeting up every Wednesday late at night and returning home around 3-4am (with the exception of one day where we skated around noon in a group session.). Theres something unique about skating and filming at night especially in the middle of a global pandemic. The streets were eerily empty even in some of the more typically busier areas but thats also not to say that we didnt hear or see some thingsthis is NJ after all. Working with Tim is actually pretty laidback as he just shows up and lays it down. No warming up and nothing short of really good vibes. Period.Big thank you to Anddy Feliciano and Isabel Dubon for consistently coming out on these late night excursions and keeping the energy high and positive as well as Samuel DeAngelis and Will Sorto for tagging along to help out with photography and their good spirits. Much love to all and have a Happy New Year.SUPPORThttps://ko-fi.com/buttertvWEBSITEhttp://www.buttertv.comFOLLOWhttp://www.instagram.com/buttertv

from BUTTER TV on 28 Nov 2020

Welcome to Jersey City Ty-NittyJersey City, New Jersey November 1st 2020. Originally scheduled to take place at Berry Lane Skate Park, the weather had other plans for the day as it brought in a heavy thunder storm but the boys at OSB and Skate & Liberty had a back up planshut down half the street and set up shop under the bridge. It was gritty but it was mostly dry. On a day that you wouldnt count on getting any skating inthey made it work and it was really fun. QCKC3: Queen City Kings Contest 2020 (BUTTER TV)

BUTTER TVQCKC3: Queen City Kings Contest 2020
from BUTTER TV on 27 Nov 2020

“Yeah, we were safe, we were smart, we wore our masks, we made sure everybody stay sanitized, but it was the fact that we’re bringing the community together on an equal level and that we were able to share a space and share a lot of love for the same sport in a positive light… that’s a beautiful thing.”— Brett Coppedge

During these current times of uncertainty, year three of the Queen City Kings Contest went extremely well. The energy inside OSO Skate park was electrifying and everybody there was having an awesome time as well as Montre doing an amazing job behind the microphone. The vibes were nothing but positive and all the skaters that competed killed it. Shout out to everyone who showed up, thank you to Oso for hosting another great year, and a special thank you to Montre, Kiki, and family. Cheers and much love!

Winterclash 2020: What Does It All Mean (BUTTER TV)

BUTTER TVWinterclash 2020: What Does It All Mean
from BUTTER TV on 7 Oct 2020

“No one knows why we are still here. It’s probably because we love what we’re doing and with Winterclash we are trying to showcase exactly that.” — Johanes ‘Jojo’ Jacobi

Eindhoven, Netherlands – February 13-15, 2020. Three days of madness…again. Winterclash is THE event that kicks off every year with a bang. Taking place during one of the colder months of winter, piling up inside a skatepark with friends from all around the world to celebrate skating doesn’t sound like a bad idea. I always tell people whether you currently skate, used to skate, or just looking for a good time that Winterclash should be on your to-do list. Always great skating and insights through panel discussions, always a challenge to film, and ALWAYS a great time. Once again, thank you to Jojo and co. for putting together another successful year and because of the current climate of the world—I am very curious as to what plans will unfold for 2021. Cheers!
