Lost Montage

My Mum just found a disc with a few old sections on it that I had completely forgotten about. This was basically the first skate edit I ever made. Filmed on a Sony Hi-8 camera and probably edited on Adobe Premiere. Featuring Some of my best friends from that time (2004 ish?) Some of whom I’m proud to say are still my good friends now. I could watch this over and over and not get bored. If I could re-live anytime of my life it would definitely be that era.

North Yorkshire Rollerblading Montage #5

A lot of time has passed since I made the last one of these. I intended to make a full length online video this year. Unfortunately that did not happen due to, well… life! Everyone is super busy these days, myself included. It’s difficult to commit to long drawn out projects. These montages are easier to and put together (even though the footage in this one spans back to January!) I intend to go back to making one of these every few months, so here is the 5th instalment.

All clips in this were filmed in and around Scarborough, with the exception of Ross Martin’s two clips that I filmed in London in March, cheers Ross! Thanks also to Gary Welford for contributing the clip of me.

Honourable mention goes to Tom Everard for the ender clip. If you’ve been to that spot, you know how hard it is, plus Tom chose to do it in the dark and wet!

Gonna attempt to skate a lot more from now on, even if it’s a solo session. Filming them makes it slightly more interesting, and helps see progression (if there is any!) Here’s what I managed to land tonight, nothing new really. Got a bit hyped on the back torque haha. Tried a bunch of different skates this year and ended up back where I started on Valo. Loving them again and won’t be switching.

BCN Video Diary

On a trip to Barcelona in April of 2012 I filmed random clips here and there on the 8mm App on my iPhone. I’ve been meaning to piece together a sort of ‘video diary’ since I got back, that captured just a bit of what the trip was all about. I will be happy to look back on this in years to come at the great memories from that trip. Though I absolutely fell in love with the place, so I’m sure I’ll be going back soon.
