Adventure Day – Stone Mountain

Took a trip to the eastern edges of the metro area. Lilburn. The place I grew up after my family left Miami. Stopped by JB Williams Skate Plaza, discussed the embarrassing history of the confederacy, cruised around the base of Stone Mountain, showed off some Ozark locations and took a hike.

Cruising – The Path Foundation – South River Trail

The South River Trail and it’s connected paths to Arabia Nature Preserve and Panola Mountain give you access to incredible isolation and beautiful wildlife. Huge hills, lots of space to stay safe socially distant and plenty of access points to park your vehicle. I only covered about a quarter of the trail system today and I traveled 17 total miles. I also stopped by a location that I scouted at Arabia Mountain that we used as a boar hunting scene in The Outsider on HBO.

Michelle Obama Trail 2

The Michelle Obama Trail is a 9.4 mile paved path in South Dekalb. It’s got great inclines, wildlife, bridges, tunnels and very few people. Great place to safely isolate and get a sweat in. Highly recommend this trail if you are in metro Atlanta.
