Moonshine Monday with Founder and Co-Owner Derek Moon.

At 46 years old Derek shows no signs of slowing down. Derek makes each one of our products by hand. His life long passion for rollerblading is an inspiration to all that he meets.

At a young age Derek started skating pools and quarter pipes on speed skates. He later began aggressive skating at the age of 31 which quickly led to him using his skills as a trained fabricator to improve upon his set up. He created custom Soul Plates and Anti Rocker Wheels capable of withstanding the rough and rugged street spots in his Northern California hometown.

He founded Moonshine UHMW with one thing in mind, to produce an affordable yet high quality product that lasts. Outside of Moonshine, Derek is a full time worker, husband, father, and Rollerblader.
