FIRST STEP OF THE SEBA BETON ON FIRE TOUR 2012, ALTENBERG, Germany, June 2nd & 3rdThe Bobsleigh track of the City of Altenberg (8000 inhabitants) was the host of a great show involving strong heartbeat and adrenaline peaks.More than 30 competitors – not totally crazy, but still with a good dose of courage – went down the track with their Inline skates, longboard, or even buggy rollin. Some of them came from South Africa, Korea, Switzerland, France, Lichtenstein, and of course from Germany to compete in this event. In the Inline category, Philip Auerswald (also organizer of this event), after a minor fall in the qualifications, which could have prevented him from reaching the final, did the fastest time in 1min: 20: 30.This is not the best time in the history of the track, which is still owned by the UFO of this discipline Daniel Ladurner, absent because of an operation. But this time is still worthy of respect since the rain invited itself during the finals, and the finalists were launched from the top of a wet track (BOB Men Start). The Swiss, and veteran of the competition, Romain Guignet took the second place, great performance ! We forgot to notice the feat of Moritz Noerl (GER) finishing at the third place, who seems to embody the rebirth of the discipline through his mental commitment and especially with an incredibly low and compact position.Kilian Braun, a newcomer from the Crashed-ice, leaves with a nice fifth place, not bad for a first time … this result proves that all downhill disciplines have similarities …In the Skateboard’s category, the racers were launched from the Junior Start and Benjamin Malherbe, coming from South Africa, pocketed the victory with his cool attitude ; closely followed by the winner of last year, Hartmut Olpp (PRE) and by Danny Strasser who already left his mark on most of the bobtracks of Europe.Unfortunately, the rain didn’t let the skateboarders do their final runs, but they will take their revenge at the next stage of “SEBA BETON ON FIRE”, which will be held, for the first time on the legendary bobsleigh track of La Plagne (France) from the 10th to the 12th of August.Stay connected !!!Picture:FlickrFilm: Anthony FINOCCHIARO( thank’s to Falko and Jean Yves for the another Gopro footage ) Camera: 5D MKIII, 7D, 60D, Gopro HDArticle available on SEBANEWS.COMsebaskates.com/sebanews.com/facebook.com/pages/SEBA/219452931431618?ref=tn_tnmnyoutube.com/user/sebaskatesflickr.com/photos/sebaskates/
