On March 12-15, 2015, KONA sk8park opened it’s doors and gates to the annual gathering of our kind.

For four days, rollerbladers from all around the world, pitched tents and made KONA a temporary home.

Lucky for us, Atlanta’s own, Brandon Anderson was among the crowd, camera in hand. He snagged the event full force. From that footy, he captured some extremely close up moments. Laid out for you, next to the sweet riffs of Wolfmother.

Brandon, we can’t thank you enough for stepping up and hammering out such a memorable jam.

Thank you Uncle Blake, for believing in rollerblading. Thank you for giving us all a reason to travel to Florida once a year. Cheers to all hose who continue to believe in the rise.

Anchors Aweigh.

This video was filmed in Lexington, Kentucky in late 2014 early 2015. Woodland park was built and open to the public in 1885 and is a very popular area in the city. Mostly for the poverty stricken and homeless alike. The skatepark is located only feet away from a public swimming pool tucked in the corner of the park. Less than three blocks away from the late Hellbellies Skateshop.

It is constantly over ran by aggressive sports. Saturated by local skateboarders and has played host to quite a few extreme sporting events. Growing up and visiting it was always a thrill. Now that it is only a few miles away, well let’s just say we get it in fairly often. The future of the Lexington Kentucky skate scene is looking bright and packed full of rollerblading. The new generation falling in line is surprisingly intrigued and a few of them aren’t scared to try something scary. The adult rollerbladers are still popping in and out. As you can see from the deal, more than a couple of “local legends” decided to snag a piece.

We are happy to be hear and happy to be part of the growing scene. Cheers to the future LXKY, let’s skate some more sometime, eh?
