Arches DIY in Glasgow – More Than Just A Skatepark (Wheel Scene)

Wheel SceneArches DIY in Glasgow – More Than Just A Skatepark
from Wheel Scene on 21 Sep 2025

Arches DIY skatepark in Glasgow started in 2018 and it has only got bigger, better and more interesting with each passing year. Not just a skatepark, this DIY project hosts events from skate jams, scooter jams, all day music festivals, self defence classes and much more. It’s also become a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community in Glasgow, who recently completed a project there. Glasgow has a strong history when it comes to action sports of all kinds and Arches DIY is a great example of hard work that goes into maintaining that culture and the strong community that backs it by regularly funding new ramp builds. The Kelpies on Inline Skates – Skating one of Scotland’s biggest tourist attractions (Wheel Scene)

Wheel SceneThe Kelpies on Inline Skates – Skating one of Scotland’s biggest tourist attractions
from Wheel Scene on 14 Sep 2025

I recently took a trip to The Helix in Falkirk, home of the Kelpies, for a skate around and to see if their website’s claim of having over 26km of bike paths was true and suitable for inline skates. The result, a pleasant day in the sun on rollerblades, a random interaction with a rollerblader visiting from another country on his holiday and a little bit of trivia about one of Scotland’s many tourist attractions. If you want to see more videos like this, join the Wheel Scene Patreon:https://www.patreon.com/c/wheelscene

6 WORST Skateparks in Glasgow – Possibly Scotland (Wheel Scene)

Wheel Scene6 WORST Skateparks in Glasgow – Possibly Scotland
from Wheel Scene on 3 Sep 2025

Join me on a tour of some of the worst skateparks Glasgow has to offer. Hell, they could be some of the worst skateparks Scotland has to offer. Some were simply terrible designs, some were once decent enough but have fallen into disrepair and some were just wrong in every way imaginable. I managed to skate every one, although some were more successful than others.
