Danny Aldridge showing off the brake he never uses, but still proudly owns. He might not need it, but if you’re just starting out, the brake is your best friend. Its the easiest way to stop and stay in control. So yes, its cool to skate like Danny, but its cooler to know how to stop. #rollerblade #movefreely #inlineskating #itallstartswithrollerblade

For this video, I went on an adventure through the Clyde Tunnel footpath in Glasgow to see how fast I could get from one end to the other and the top speed I could achieve while flying down the cold, dark tunnels. Unfortunately, because it was so far beneath ground, the Strava app on my phone stopped working and didn’t record the time it took or the highest speed, but it still ended up being quite eventful. I ended up having a couple of interactions with pedestrians, flew round some blind turns to get the heart rate going and had some pretty scary speed wobble moments. I thought freeskating might be a little safer than aggressive skating, but it turns out I’ve found a way to make it equally as dangerous.
