I picked up this strategy in Denver where you Google search “skatepark near me” for the hell of it and see what comes back. I didn’t think it would work in cincinnati, but in between street spots we wanted something fun to skate so I googled skatepark and it came back with this weirdly amazing and untouched park. 🙂 Winning!!

About a month back I went up to Detroit for a day to snap some photos of Brian Weis and Luke Naylor. Brian and I met up first at The Wig and within a few minutes he was able to throw this together.

First session in the USD 7’s. I’ve been skating Razors SL for several years now so it was a bit of a transition. The biggest difference was how light the boot was. I was shocked at how similar the flex felt, didn’t take more than a couple tries to get standard tricks like topsoul, back farf, back savanah, etc. The liners feel great so far too. I was concerned going from a 9 razors boot to the 8 USD, I only felt a little toe cramping after an hour of skating. I’ve been told this goes away after a few sessions. Overall great boot, I will keep you guys posted on updates on how I feel the USD 7 performs.
