Noiya Jam 2015 – Saturday 23rd May 2015 – The House Skatepark Sheffield.

After firmly establishing ourselves as one of the UK’s premier annual events, we are back for an unbelievable 7th year, to once again showcase some of the finest blading talent in the land, to revel in the mastery of their craft, and to celebrate our community’s culture. Oh and of course to participate in some slightly irresponsible behaviour.

Be at Sheffield’s House Skatepark on the 23rd May to enjoy the vibe of probably the most relaxed and enjoyable competition environment around. You all know the deal by now, you’ve seen the edits from previous years (If you haven’t go check them out now), the Noiya Jam always goes off! Expect high quality blading from some of the UK’s very best.

As Yorkshire’s biggest and best annual blading event we like to evolve every year, and the addition of the House’s superb new indoor concrete bowl means we now able to hold a Bowl Jam, to compliment our other new addition, the Flatground High Jump Face-Off.

Entry will be £5 whether you are spectating, skating or entering the jam. As usual all the money taken on the door will go towards the Expert prize money pot, which stands at £300 for first place, £150 for second, and £75 for 3rd.

As usual we will have a trade stall set up selling all kinds of blading goodies, often at highly reduced prices, so make sure you bring some extra cash and grab yourself a bargain.

We opted to hold the event on a bank holiday weekend once again to make sure you all get a chance to check out some of Sheffield’s street spots if you decide to stay for the weekend.

There will be Jams (and random giveaways) happening throughout the day including:

– 15 and Under (SlammJamm Qualifier) (Midday start)
– Open (2.30pm start)
– Expert (5pm start)
– Best Trick (after Expert)
– Flatground High Jump Face-Off
– Bowl Jam

The format for the Unders, Open and Expert events will be 5 people skating the park in 5 minute rounds, with the judges favourite from each round going through to the semi-finals where the top two will go through to the final.

There is a limit of 30 riders in each category, allocated purely on a first-come-first-served basis, so make sure you get down early to secure your place.

Event info:
We are pleased to announce the sixth installment in the ongoing saga that is the annual Noiya Inline Jam, once again being held at The House Skatepark in Sheffield’s Neepsend on 10th May 2014. Previous top 3 winners have included some of the cream of the UK scene including Alex Burston, Nick Lomax, Mike Welland, Elliott Stevens, Joe Atkinson, Stephen Swain and 2013 winner Andy Spary. Motivation is provided by the prize pool of £525 split into £300 for first place, £150 for second and £75 for third. We believe cash prizes are the only way to go for the Expert/Sponsored category, it seems to bring out the best in everyone when the heat is on.

As always there will be cash prizes, giveaways, a bangin’ BBQ and a Rollkings shop set up with new Noiya Clothing 2014 items in stock. This year we decided to bring back live Illustration from some of our talented friends and artists to expand the list of attractions.

On the day there will be 3 different categories:

1 — 15 and under -12pm start (Qualifier for AIL ‘Youngbloods’ 15 and under competition @ SlammJamm in October)

2 — Open – 2pm start

3 — Expert/Sponsored — 4pm start

The format will be 5 people skating the park in 5 minute rounds, with the judges favourite from the round going through to the semi-finals where the top two from each will go through to the final four. There is a limit of 30 riders in each category, so make sure you get down early to secure your place. You can only register on the day. Park opens at 10.30am, closes at 7pm.

Entry will be £5 whether you are spectating, skating or entering the jam.

Many of you will come for the vibes and atmosphere as much as the skating, and that carries on into the night. As is tradition we will be having an after party at a TBC venue, more information to follow on that one shortly. To stay up to date on the after party as well as exclusive content leading up to the event just search and like Noiya Clothing on Facebook.

This is that excuse you were all looking for to experience some of Sheffield’s legendary street, so it’s time to dust off your address book and get in touch with all those friends, relatives and compadres in the Sheffield area for a place to pass out. Come party afterwards and skate some of the infamous street spots on the sunday. We’ll see you all there!
