Night Blade Calgary

A winter night blade in Calgary. Pure fun.

Had a chance to test out a Sony A7Sii this winter. Went for a midnight blade with the homies and tried to capture the feel of a long skate in near blackout conditions. Street lights, ISO 50,000, and a 16-35ml makes up most of this edit. Was challenged with learning a new camera on the fly, only having it for less than a day and with 3 batteries charged, I had 2 hrs-ish of film time to bank this footage.

Mac wasn’t too happy trying to manipulate a bunch of 4k footy, decided to put out the edit rather than keep tweaking and crashing while the footage gets stale.

Edited with Premiere Pro CC and After Effects. Graded in pooptown.
