Platform Episode 75 – Scott Quinn…again (Wheel Scene)

Wheel ScenePlatform Episode 75 – Scott Quinn…again
from Wheel Scene on 6 Feb 2024

It took almost a year, but I finally managed to get Scott Quinn back on to finish the episode of Platform podcast that was interrupted due to the internet elves wreaking havoc with our connection. It turns out time difference, family life and work commitments can make arranging a time when we’re both free for a couple of hours very difficult. We picked up where we left off, talking about 8Set, last year’s CPH Open and this year’s event, how life has changed for him now that he lives in Denmark, his plans for the future and loads of other topics.f you would like to support this channel and watch more videos like this, join the Wheel Scene Patreon here – https://www.patreon.com/wheelsceneFootwork T-shirts are available from the Wheel Scene shop – https://wheelscene.bigcartel.com

Bobi Spassov and Cody Lampman recently announced their new brand, Inferno, with a joint section filmed on the streets of London, England. The pair have set up an apparel and accessories company, as well as a website which they hope will serve as a platform for their collection of original media. Their goal is to promote artistry within the rollerblading culture, as well as provide a launchpad for new or less represented talent. In this video they talk about how they met, the inspiration behind the brand name and product design, as well as their plans for the future.https://www.infernoskate.comIf you would like to support this channel, join the Wheel Scene Patreon here – https://www.patreon.com/wheelsceneFootwork T-shirts are available from the Wheel Scene shop – https://wheelscene.bigcartel.com

Michel Prado Pro Skate Mystery – Did Gawds try to use the same skate as Anarchy? (Wheel Scene)

Wheel SceneMichel Prado Pro Skate Mystery – Did Gawds try to use the same skate as Anarchy?
from Wheel Scene on 17 Jan 2024

Gawds recently released the Michel Prado II Pro Skate and in the promo Michel can be seen riding a prototype version that looks a lot like the Anarchy skate that was leaked last year. Is this the same skate and why did neither company end up using this boot in the end? Well, it turns out it’s a pretty interesting story and it may not be the last we see of this shell. Note: I said the Anarchy skate was “released” when I meant to say it was ”leaked’. I swear every time I press record my brain goes blank. Also, if you haven’t watched it yet, The Rebirth of Michel Prado is an excellent documentary by Raphael Lopez Maldonado and you can watch it here – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mX-zJqJetTI&t=21sIf you would like to support this channel, join the Wheel Scene Patreon here – https://www.patreon.com/wheelsceneFootwork T-shirts are available from the Wheel Scene shop – https://wheelscene.bigcartel.com
