Here is the video from the 2015 Final WSX Event, which was held on November, 28-30 in Wuyishan, China. The strongest riders from all around the world showed their best at this year’s most important competition.Yohan Fort from France, confirmed his status of the strongest skater! He stayed unbeaten and won the final race of the season, keeping the first place of the Men’s World Championships. It is the first time that Yohan Fort becomes world champion in Skate Cross.Flavien Du Peloux (Fra, #3) was the fastest skater in the time trials (25.565 sec) and showed his best during the quarter and semi finals, finishing first in both rounds, until the final, where he finished behind Yohan. Flavien finished at the second place of the Men’s World Championships Ranking!In the women category, the current world number 5, Alice Delfino from Italy, did her best result ever and won the biggest World Skate Cross event of the year ! She was second after the time trials (28.873 sec) and won all her runs, including the big final, showing her best result so far! She is up to the second position of the Women’s World Championships Ranking!Mathilde Monneron (Fra, #1) was the strongest during the qualification (27.97 sec) and in the semi-final, but she stayed behind Alice in the final race, and finished at the second place. The second 2015 WSX main event was held on September, 18th – 20th in Lyon, France. 40 skaters from France, Italy, Spain and Ireland were competing for the victory. Here is a small overview after the event. Yohan Fort (Fra, #1) stayed unbeaten! Showing the best qualification time (27,187 sec), he won all his races and reached the first step of the podium. Moreover, thanks to his victories of the last two main events, he became a new world number one! Anthony Avella (Fra, #2) finished second in the final. He was the fastest until the semi-final, where he let Yohan win. French skater, Flavien Du Peloux (Fra, #3) showed the second qualification time (27,357 sec) and finished at the third place. Florian Petitcollin (Fra, #7) was third in the qualification (27,772 sec) and the fourth to cross the finish line of the big final.Women’s World Champion of the last two seasons, Mathilde Monneron (Fra, #1), continues to win! She was the fastest in the qualification (30,879 sec) and won all her runs, including the big final! Amandine Condroyer (Fra, #17) showed the third qualification time (32,287 sec) and did her best result so far, getting the second place of the competition! Jessica Billard (Fra, #2) finished third. Another French skater, Maud Oguey (#10) took the fourth place and showed the fourth qualification time (32,815 sec).French Team “Tarzan & Cheeta”, represented by Leandre Mage and Flavien Du Peloux, won the Team Cross race. Frederic Bukowski (Fra) and Warren Digne (Fra), team “Nomades”, finished second. The first 2015 main event, which was held on August 21st – 23rd, in Lausanne, Switzerland, is over.Almost 50 skaters from 7 different countries challenged each other during the first three stars event of the year. The newcomers were opposed to the strongest riders in this race and the outcome brought us some highly interesting results!After his victory in 2014 (WSX Rennes), Yohan Fort (Fra, #114) showed his best result so far and remained unbeaten during the whole race! He made the best qualification time (31,764 sec) and won all his races to reach the first step of the podium! Another French skater, Flavien Du Peloux (#32), the current Freeride French Champion, improved his last year’s result from third place to the second. He won all his races, except the final and showed the third best qualification time (31,995 sec). The Ice Cross Downhill skater and winner of the La Plagne Skate Cross 2013, Jim De Paoli from Switzerland finished at the third place of the podium! Florian Petitcollin (Fra) showed his best result so far, being fourth to cross the finish line.Women’s World Champion of the last two seasons, Mathilde Monneron (Fra, #1) got another victory and won the Skate Cross final. She showed the best result of the qualification (36,418 sec) and was fastest for all her runs. The new blood, Italian Alice Delfino did great to finish on the second place! And another surprise came from Italy: Barbara Codazzi, well known in the Freestyle slalom world, started good her skate cross career right away from the third place of the big final. French skater, Aurore Costabile (#5), who was second last year, showed the second best qualification time (38,714 sec) and finished at the fourth place.For the Team Cross race, French skaters, Flavien Du Peloux (#32) and Landre Mage (#39) got the victory with their Tarzans team. Ice Cross Downhill riders, Jim De Paoli (Sui) and Luca Dallago (Aut), team Jim De Lago were first for the qualification and finished second in the final. A.Avella (Fra) won the last step of the 2014 World Skate Cross Series, held in the SMP skatepark, in Shanghai, China. He was the fastest on the very fast, high and challenging track going around the SMP. Starting in second position behind F.Du Peloux (Fra), he could manage to pass him after the drop in the medium bowl, and kept his position until the finish line. Sim WanSu (Kor) and I.Sukhenko (Rus), fell on the first obstacle and couldn’t come back on the 2 other skaters, finishing 3rd and 4th respectively.M.Monneron (Fra), won the final race of the season, her 5th victory this year. Her main rival on this race, I.Davydova (Rus), not far in the time trials, did a bad start in the final and couldn’t come back on the 2 first skaters, finishing at the 3rd place. J.Billard (Fra) did a good race and took the second place. Italian F.Conzi, finished at the 4th place and couldn’t fight against the 3 best women of the season.Thanks to their victory in Shanghai, Anthony Avella (Fra) and Mathilde Monneron (Fra) won their second World Champion title in a row, finishing their season perfectly. Flavien Du Peloux (Fra), who was 4th in 2013, could improve his results with a very constant season and finished on the second step of the final ranking, in front on Antony Pottier (Bel) who couldn’t fight in the finals as he injured during the trainings runs, it was still a very good season for him, with 2 victories.Jessica Billard (Fra) confirmed her second place of 2013 ; she improved her speed this year but couldn’t beat M.Monneron. Watch the official video of the 11th step of the World Skate Cross Series, held in Lyon, France, on the 27/28 of September !Anthony Avella (Fra) won the 11th step of the World Skate Cross Series, held in Lyon, France. 2nd best time in the time trials behind russian I.Sukhenko, he won all his races until the final. Thanks to this victory, A.Avella takes back the lead of the World Ranking from A.Pottier, only 7th place in Lyon. Harry Perna (Fra), winner of last year, took the second place, in front of Flavien Du Peloux (Fra), third.Mathilde Monneron (Fra), after winning in Quebec and Lausanne, won her third main event of the season, confirming her strong leadership this year. She is one race from a second world champion title in a row, and she just need to be in the top 6 in the last step to get it. Only Jessica Billard (Fra), 4th in Lyon, can still get the title, but she must win the last race to get it.
