Arrows Skate ShopHuzhou Invitational 2014 (China)
from Arrows Skate Shop on 1 Oct 2014

Huzhou is full of surprise, first you never know what the park is gonna be like (most of the time this is not a good sign). Then you get to the see the pros out of their comfort zone. I mean most of those guys fly for as long as they are going to stay her… 2 days. Nevertheless, every single time I went there I had a very great time with some of the best guys from everywhere around the globe. This year was a special occasion as our shop invited Alex Broskow to enter the event. We organized a small jam and gave away quite a few prizes such as frames, shirts, helmets, jeans etc. The icing on the cake was Alex Broskow giving away a pair of his own pro model V13 skates signed by himself to a fan that Alex thought worthy of the gift. Broskow has always been one of the most appreciated skater in China and to see the kids skate along him is just priceless. Completed with the new blood of Wake Schepman and we were up for some very decent skating.

At the end the results weren’t even important and we found ourselves up in the mountains nearby for an excursion in a 1000 years old Buddhist temple. We’re glad we’re able to share what’s it like in China with those people and not only make it about skating. With all of what’s going on in China, we’re sure to see more pros around and we’ll make it our mission to make them enjoy the stay.
