On Saturday, April 2nd, I drove to Montreal, Quebec, to visit Boutique Solo Inline and skate at Le Taz Skatepark. David Mascola founded Solo Inline one year ago during the height of the pandemic. The shop carries nearly seventy different skates for aggressive, recreational, big wheel, and children. They also have a sizeable selection of wheels, frames, bearings, and accessories in stock. I made the trip to Montreal that day because legendary Qubcois skater Charles Nantel was having a photo exhibit at the shop. The event was the first-ever Solo Artist Series collaboration that Solo Inline plans on having with blading artists from throughout Canada. Prints and t-shirts were available for sale at the shop with one of Charles’s photos. There was an excellent turnout with skaters such as Lauric Picard, Maxime Lantheir, Maxence Valade, Denis Raby, and Matthieu Ledoux in attendance. A box session took place outside the shop with some of Montreal’s best skaters laying down some awesome tricks. After the show, everyone headed to le Taz Skatepark for a private session organized by Solo Inline from 9:00 PM to Midnight.This video features the skating of Lauric Picard, Maxime Lanthier, Maxence L.
