Slaptap and Blade Clothing Tour 2015 Day One As with any rollerblading tour, the plan to set off at 9am fell through pretty quickly. We were all meeting at Mark Worner’s house in Taunton. Some of us had arrived the night before and some people with less distance to travel were turning up first thing in the morning. We watched the latest VOD sections and ate breakfast at Mark’s house while waiting for the last people to turn up, packed the mini-bus with skates, tents and assorted pillows and at exactly something-past-ten headed south for Devon. At this point, the tour was made up of myself, Slaptap owner Chris Leaver, Mark Worner, Matt Smith, Sam Cooper, Joe Harvey, Blake Bird, Danielle McCloskey, Si Coburn, Matthew Brown and Niko Salaman. The first skatepark on our agenda was Ashburton. This turned out to be the first of many tricks to be played on Matt Smith as Chris told him at the last minute to drive to a different park. Ashburton is a relatively new concrete park with a fairly standard layout, but it was empty and there were plenty of us there for a session. Everyone skated between trips to the shop […]
