southernscumSTREET AGAIN // KY BATTLE
from southernscum on 5 Sep 2016

What would rollerblading be without the dedication of street contest(s)?

The Kentucky Battle began in year 2000. We just finished up the 16th-19th contest. Just as each year before it, things got messy. Though it was an injury free event, Philip Moore & fellow skater boys went extra hard.

Here’s a tiny bit of what happened at the last spot. The majority of my day was spent behind the lens of the V. The tour video will now have an entire section donated to the KY Battle. Maybe this week will be the week the tapes start getting imported. Prolly not though.

The Battle is a highlighted moment of the year for us. Every time, new faces show up & show out.

Shout out to to the Chicago skate scene for truly getting involved. It’s an honor to participate with you each. You’re great people. It was a treat to party with you all.

Shout out to Herben Legend for keeping the dream alive. Shout out out Born Free Tour for keeping us on the road. Shout out to every person that didn’t come to the event. Shout out to Rollernews for keeping our content rolling on the web.

Congrats on another 1st place victory Phil. Props on the solid 2nd & 3rd place pulls Austin & Ben.

LONG LIVE ROLLERBLADING
