The Last Trip

‘I was Lucky enough to spend the last year living in Australia, with my visa running out I decided to take a trip down the East Coast from Brisbane to Melbourne stopping in Sydney for New Years, heres an edit of the highlights of the trip.
Big thanks go to everyone I have met over the past 12 months, every blader, every dirty backpacker I’ve drank goon with, every German, every Ozzie, every Housemate, Zac Hutchings for giving me a place to crash when I ran out of money and had no place to live, Wickham Street, Spring Hill, Max Ashmore, Matt Gowlett for lending me his car making the whole trip possible, 4Squair Wheels, the VC crew for throwing the best parties and street contests, Down Under bar for the good times, all the hospital staff for fixing me up and everyone that visited whilst I was in there, the Caretelli family for the incredible hospitality, the Sydney crew for hooking up the best spot for New Years plus filming pretty much all of Matt’s clips and finally Sophia for sending me my SD card when I left it (with all the footage) in her campervan.
Apologies to Rob Ham for throwing up in your garden…..
It seems that being a rollerblader and a traveler go hand in hand, I’ve lost count of the amount of free meals, lifts or places to sleep a fellow blader has hooked me up. And with that being said, if anyone fancies skating the perfect ledge spot in China, get in touch!’ – Jake.
