Mathias von GostomskiUcon Silhouette 2012
from Mathias von Gostomski on 16 Mar 2012

My good friend Dirk from Berlin did a collab with Ucon and designed their whole new Silhouette Line for Summer 2012. I saw the catalog earlier last year and was immediately amazed by how cool all of the stuff looks. I’m going to buy a lot of clothes once it hits the stores.
So when he asked me in February to make a little clip for the launch of the line sometime this spring, i was flattered and waited for the clips he wanted to send me. The clips themselves kind of sucked, as it was just the shooting and Kwarne (The model) standing in front of a white or grey wall filmed at high iso with a canon 7d. Not the best Material. So i did some thinking and decided to go and get some shots in the woods behind my house in germany. In the end i went 3 times, getting all kinds of stuff slider, glidecam, steady, shaky and hi8 shots. Then i let AE Cs5 do the rotoscoping for me and baam Kwarne wasn’t in Schneiders office anymore, but in the woods. Added some more effects, then some more effects and more effects, did some sounddesign and here we go. Ucon Silhouette clip.
