SkatefreshAshaWhat do you think about the waxing of surfaces to help the learning of slides on Inline skates?

In this video I’m sharing my opinion of the increasingly popular practice of waxing outdoor surfaces in order to facilitate the learning of slides. After falling on an unseen patch of waxed surface (and aggravating my already injured hip), I wanted to highlight this dangerous activity in the hope that those doing it (around the world) will think twice and if they continue, to at least warn skaters, cyclists and space users by writing permanent warnings and highlighting the affected area. This practice of waxing, in my opinion, should be discouraged simply because of the risks it causes to unsuspecting users. If instructors want to help their students to learn slides, how about teaching them properly or finding smoother surfaces or better still, making a patch of surface wet with water to create the same effect and reduce the friction? What are your opinions on the subject? Have you fallen on an unseen waxed patch of skating surface? Or do you see nothing wring with it?Let me know in the comments below.Who is Asha Skatefresh?
