The latest episode of Platform podcast feels particularly special because John Bolino is one of my favourite skaters of all time. He’s been incredibly prolific throughout his blading career, releasing some truly brilliant video sections and winning some of the biggest events in the sport. John opens up about a childhood that was more challenging than most people’s, losing family members and witnessing addiction issues from an early age. He also talks about why he needed to step away from skating to experience the other things life had to offer and how it has affected his outlook and behaviour in recent years. I had so many questions I wanted to ask John that we never got round to covering, so the plan is to do a second part as soon as possible.
