Billy O’Neill is the first guest I have had on Platform podcast and for very good reason. He’s been a busy man over the past 12 months! Billy has been killing it on his skates, as we have seen from his section in Duos and various Sunday Brunch projects. He also started Mesmer Skates with Matthias Knoll and released the phenomenal Mesmer Rising and RV There Yet? Despite only being in business for a year, they have released two editions of the John Bolino pro skate and just awarded a pro skate to Scotland’s Dominic Bruce. With a new project filmed exclusively in New York City due to be released very soon, there was lots to chat about with Billy.He discusses married life, how things have been doing with Mesmer so far, including the highlights and pressures he faces as a company owner, shared his thoughts on competitions and his experience of running the Boschi Pope Skate Off this year, and revealed that Josh Petty recently got in touch with him to address some of the comments he made in his infamous appearance on Jump Street Podcast.
